Some Followup
I’ve got followup photos from a few of the jobs that Tom and his crew have done in the past month. First up are some additional pictures from the pre-cast concrete home. Tom did the foundation and a local company came in and set the panels:
There has also been additional work on the bridge. Tom formed and poured the bridge abutments before Christmas. In January, an old railroad trestle was set in place on top of them. He went back last week and put down the bridge decking.
(I now know what annular cutter bits look like as I had to pick up a couple for him at Fastenal.)
You can see that we got quite a bit more snow in February.
I would imagine that there will be some kind of ramps graded up to this bridge, but I don’t know the specifics.
And finally—you may remember the Tool Crate unboxing post I did a few weeks ago. Yesterday, we got an e-mail from the Tool Crate company notifying us that one of the products they had sent was defective:
Neither of us had noticed the spelling error, and indeed, Tom had already put the bag to use. The Tool Crate people (and the Diamondback people) were very apologetic and have another bag on its way to us.
Mistakes happen.
I’ve got photos from another recent job, but I’m going to put them in their own blog post some time later this week. The outhouse rebuild is also complete, but the outhouse has been moved to a staging area until enough snow melts that Tom can get a piece of equipment close enough to the concrete pad to put it back where it belongs. Stay tuned.
