A Barn Goes Up

A few weeks ago, the husband poured the slab for my friend Tera’s new barn. She and her husband ordered a timber frame kit, which came from Vermont along with a crew to assemble it. The frame is up, so I stopped there on my way to town to take a look.

This area faces south and will be Tera’s greenhouse. What a lovely warm space this is going to be!

The husband continues to work on a couple other jobs, but I have nothing exciting to show from them yet. Given the number of phone calls he’s been getting about new home projects, I have no doubt that 2021 is going to be as nuts as 2020 was. Hopefully, he will be able to find people who actually want to work this summer instead of sitting at home waiting for government checks to arrive.
