Forming and Pouring Mike's Walls
The husband has a couple of smallish jobs in process at the moment, but I am going to avoid confusion by sticking to one job at a time. When last we left this job—the homeowner’s name is Mike—the footings had been poured.
The guys stripped the forms a couple of days later and began forming the walls on top of the footings:
We had a couple of very cold (10F) mornings. Maybe I should send a bag of marshmallows with the husband.
The wall forms are up and ready for concrete:
The boom truck is in place:
There appear to be several inspectors on this job:
They got that truck as close to the edge as they possibly could.
And the finished walls at the end of the day. The guys went back a few days later to strip these forms off so the excavation contractor could come in and backfill.
I think that’s it for this job as this looks like a crawlspace, similar to the last job. As long as the weather stays reasonable, the guys will keep working, although I am not sure what’s up next on the schedule.
